Party 'Till The Cows Come Home

The Whole Herd stamp set form My Favorite Things is adorable. I love both the images and the sentiments that go with it. For this week's MFTWSC269 Sketch Challenge I used the cow image with the corresponding "Let's Party 'Till the Cows Come Home" sentiment. I used a masking technique to position multiple cows behind each other. This card is also for the Simon Says Anything Goes Wednesday challenge.

Watercolored Peonies

I got my Papertray Ink order a few days ago that included the new Peonies on Parade set. I thought it'd be perfect to practice all kinds of different coloring techniques. I've been inspired to color more after following all the beautiful artwork in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge on the Daily Marker Blog. This is one of the first few watercolor cards I've made. I've done some backgrounds before, but on this one the entire image is watercolored with stamp reinkers. The image is stamped with clear, glittery embossing powder for a softer look. I didn't add any other embellishments because I need more cards that are easy to mail.

Mojo Bella Seniorita Millicent in Colored Pencils

A quick MojoBella card this week for Bellarific Friday challenge. I've been practicing coloring with my Prismacolor pencils recently. Unfortunately I was out of gamsol so the image looks a little grainy. I plan to blend it before sending the card. The fun sentiment on the inside of the card that comes with the Millicent stamp is "At my age, 'getting lucky' means finding my car in the parking lot."

MFTWSC268 Dendeloin Wishes

A quick card this weekend for MFT Sketch Challenge MFTWSC268. I stayed with the yellow grey combo on this card. The background is stamped with Grout Gray for subtle color. The image is colored with Copics, the dress is paper pierced and I used glitter Gelly Roll for accent sparkle.

A Tini Note Card

This is my CAS Single Layer Challenge from Simon Says Stamp using Paper Smooches Free Spirits set. It's a small 4x4 notecard. The glass was colored with Copics and covered with Glossy Accents for extra shine. I lightly sponged the center of the card and was going to call it done, but felt like it needed a little bit more pop so I added some metallic washi tape that I've been using a TON lately. It's a super quick way to add a bit of sparkle without foiling.

Pretty Plum Poppies

This card is using MFTWSC267 sketch and one of my favorite stamp sets - Pretty Poppies. I wanted to use a different color scheme from the usual red and opted for Pure Plum instead.

Birthday Hamster Card

This card is based on MojoBella Sketch for Bellarific Friday. I had a lot of fun with this one. The hamster stamp is adorable and so realistic with the overstuffed little cheeks just like my hamster used to do. The sentiment reads "Cupcake??? What cupcake???"

Cozy Up by the Fireplace

This card was inspired by one of my dogs. She looooves to curl up in front of the fireplace in the winter. Sometimes she's so close, she's hot to the touch and yet she won't budge. I used MFTWSC266 Sketch and combined several different sets to create the scene: the fireplace from MFT Fireplace, dog bed from You Make My Tail Wag and the dog from an old retired SU set Bow Wow. The wall and flooring were sponged through stencils.

Seeing Gold Embossed Background

This card is using MFTSC266 sketch and part of the AI Challenge - Friendship.
I tend to favor silver and white gold hues over yellow gold, but like how this gold embossing turned out against the subtle pink background. I used the Large Dot Stencil and dabbed Versamark pad over to get the outline for embossing.

Flower Soft Bouquet

I'm playing along with Mojo Monday this week using MOJO433 sketch. I made these little flower branches probably a year ago and they've been sitting in my "find ways to use this later" stash until now. They're very easy to make - just cut a piece of wire to desired length, cover in tacky glue, roll in Flower Soft and let dry.

Spinner Card

Love how easy the AI Spinner stamps make creating perfect font and back cards. I colored the Fairy Spinner image with Copics and used paper piercing technique for her dress for the AI Challenge. A shimmering cord is affixed to the top and bottom of the card and allows the image to spin around.

MFT Frosty

This weekend was unseasonably warm here - sunny with temperature in the mid 80's. It was the perfect weather to be outside and I enjoyed every bit of it, but for some reason when I sat down to make a card for the MFT Sketch Challenge #265, the first stamp I reached for was the Frosty & Fabulous.  Maybe it's just to remind myself that it's still winter.
