Callista Loves to Craft

I needed some cards with minimum layers and embellishments for mailing. Here’s one for Bellarific Friday Challenge using MojoMonday441 sketch. I'm also entering it to the Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge. It’s a fun image, but all the little details took a while to color. It's a also hard to tell from the photo, but I used some glitter pens to add sparkle to the card because I for one can't imagine having a pile of craft supplies on the table without some bling :)

Sew Special

I haven't been playing along with as many card challenges the past few weeks because I started a second blog - HandmadePetite. It's a sewing blog and I've been busy setting it up and making some new garments. Sewing projects are definitely a lot more time consuming than cards, but at least I get long term use out of most of them :)
Along the same theme, I thought it'd be fitting to make a sewing related card.

This one is for MFTWSC273 Sketch Challenge, though I didn't follow the sketch as close as usual and went with a more traditional shaker frame. The image is from a retired MFT set Sew Nifty.

Half Days and Happy Hours

Instead of a card this week I wanted to share a little notepad cover. The Bellarific challenge this week was to use paper piercing technique. Both of the dresses on the image are cut out from patterned paper. For some extra pizzas I added jewelry with liquid pearls and glasses are covered in Glossy Accents. I've accumulated a number of funny wine and drinking related stamps and this one from Unity seemed the most fitting here: "Life needs more half days and happy hours."

I initially made it as a gift, but then had to make another one so I could keep one myself :).

Birthday Elephant

I started out with green base cardstock  for the Simon Says Challenge - A Bit 'O Green, but somehow by the time it was finished, there was hardly any green on the card. I guess that's where the "bit" part comes in. The adorable stamp is called Bella with Balloons from Wild Rose Studio.  All the coloring was done with Copics and to add some texture I covered the balloons with Glossy Accents.

Uptown Girl Audrey, I Believe in Pink

This card is for the Bellarific Friday Flower Challenge. I colored the adorable Uptown Girl Audrey with Copics and added felt rose embellishments. Of course I also couldn't pass up adding some bling - the metallic washi tape and some silver highlights with the Gelly Roll pen. Love how this turned out.

The inside of the card is stamped with the Riley Funny Bones "I Love Pink" stamp. It's a different Audrey Hepburn quote than the one in the Stampingbella set and it's so fitting for this image.
